QA/QC
Chieftain’s goal is to exceed customer expectations in product quality and consistency.
Quality Assurance
Chieftain’s highly experienced operations and mining professionals rigorously follow quality assurance protocols to maintain exacting finished product specifications. Chieftain measures and monitors everything in real-time. Process controls and monitoring systems automate the overall QA program.
Quality is a foundational building block of Chieftain’s company culture. The principles of TQM, LEAN, Six Sigma and other manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies are day-to-day priorities for management and all employees. Chieftain’s continuous improvement programs, driven by a company culture of exceeding all industry standard benchmarks and metrics, enhances our ability to deliver improved products, world-class logistical support and comprehensive solutions to customers above and beyond their expectations - and those levels provided by our competitors.
Quality Control
QC protocols and systems ensure customer requirements are met with every shipment. Each Chieftain employee knows that if for whatever reason sub-standard results are measured during final QC testing, the product is quarantined and corrective actions are taken immediately in the manufacturing process to prevent recurrence.
ISO Lab
Chieftain’s on-site ISO lab is manned by certified professionals using state-of-the-art testing equipment and statistical software to support the manufacturing processes, and maintain all quality systems. ISO/API proppant testing procedures (superceding API practices and standards) are followed in performing the routine tests for the key proppant characteristics, and the results and samples archived.
Why Chieftain Invests in QA/QC
Hydrocarbon production is extremely technical. Chieftain can provide the proppant to meet customer specifications consistently and reliably so our customers can focus on the frac design and all the other elements of a completion: technology, geology, monitoring, horsepower, equipment, personnel, additives, water, and all other factor inputs. Hydraulic fractures need to maximize the area exposed to the flow and preserve proppant conductivity. Frac design for a completion in a specific location involves many parameters, including rate, pressure, frac gradient, fluid volume, proppant pumped, HP hours, etc. and Chieftain can be counted on to provide the proppant – as promised, on-time, every time and meeting customer specifications.
